My parents moved to Devon, from Essex, when I was a few months old. Since then I have been fortunate enough to grow up and work in a fabulous part of the World just minutes from the sea. I love the great outdoors and have a deep attachment to the people and places of Devon and Cornwall.
I put together a simple website about my cycle ride from Lands End to John O’Groats which I completed with 3 others in 2003. I enjoyed writing about the event which I hope people have found entertaining as well as useful, and this has led me into my first tentative steps at blogging.
Having started writing, ‘life’ got in the way and over the last few years I have not added many posts. However now (Sept 2019) I have resurrected the blog and intend to post again.
I love photography – although very much an amateur, volunteer for my local Mountain Rescue team and intend as I have semi retired to start doing a bit more travelling to those places in the UK and across the globe I’ve always wanted to visit, hoping to write about my adventures as I go.
So I hope my photographs and writing bring a smile to your face or inspire you to visit write about your own journeys.
