Not to much the coveted ‘Yellow Jersey’, more the coveted ‘Team Jacket’

In the early to mid 80’s, I was part of the Dartmoor Rescue Group, Okehampton Section until work commitments got in the way. About 2 years ago I decided the time was right to rejoin so I applied to rejoin a Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team, but this time the one based at Ashburton.

Stunning Northumberland

A very enjoyable few days in the stunning English county of Northumberland last week. An area I had neglected in favour of its much more high profile neighbour The lake District up until now. Trialing in the mud of the Forest of Dean

Today has been a beautiful day. The sun has been shining and the air has been warm. Perfect for a day spent in the Forest of Dean, in an open top trials car competing in the annual Kyrle Classic Car Trial.

This link is to the playlist of 6 videos from the day. 4 taken from inside the car, 1 video of Adrian Dommett in his Wolseley Hornet, and another of a chap in a Mk1 Ford Escort.

Today has been a good day.

Easter Sunday amongst the Daff’s at Steps Bridge pt2 of 2

A lovely Easter Sunday walk amongst the Daffodils at Step’s Bridge on Dartmoor.

Every year the Devon Trust Nature Reserve is a picture as the miniature wild Daffodils blossom into a sea of yellow. Timing it so that I catch them at their best is always a challenge but this year I got it spot on. Especially as the sun shone too, always a bonus.

Just a short 2 Mile walk through the reserve and back again beside the River Teign is never a disappointment.
